Shadowdale

After their defeat in the War of the Silver Moon, the dark elves were forced to flee their kingdom and go into hiding. They knew that they would not be safe on the surface of Aradia, where they would be hunted by the victorious elves of Elvandar, so they sought refuge in the underground tunnels and caverns beneath the earth.

The dark elves were a resourceful and resilient people, and they quickly adapted to their new underground home. They built great cities and fortresses in the caverns and tunnels, using their mastery of magic to shape the stone and create light and warmth.

The largest and most powerful of these underground cities was Shadowdale, a city built into the side of a massive cavern and ruled by a council of powerful and wise dark elves. Shadowdale was a place of great darkness and mystery, and it quickly became the hub of the dark elves’ underground kingdom.

Other notable cities in the dark elves’ underground kingdom included Underdark, a city built into the heart of a massive cave network and known for its powerful necromantic magic; and Shadowdeep, a city built into the side of a deep and dark pit and renowned for its shadowy assassins.

Despite their defeat in the War of the Silver Moon, the dark elves remained a formidable and dangerous force, and they continued to plot and scheme, seeking to reclaim their place on the surface of Aradia. Their underground kingdom was a place of darkness and intrigue, where plots and plots were hatched in the shadows and alliances were forged in secret.
