The blade of this shortsword is expertly crafted from volcanic obsidian. Dark obsidian shards swirl within the smoky, translucent material. The sword’s edge is incredibly sharp and retains a razor edge after being sharpened.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Volcanic Edge. When you hit with an attack using this sword, the target takes an extra 1d6 slashing damage from the obsidian blade’s unnaturally sharp edge.
Igneous Origin. The obsidian sword has the following additional properties related to its volcanic origins:
- The sword deals an extra 1d4 fire damage to any target that has vulnerability to fire damage.
- The wielder has advantage on saving throws against effects related to cold climates and icy weather.
- If the wielder takes cold damage, the obsidian sword immediately deals 1d4 fire damage to the source as fiery energy warms the volcanic rock edge.
