Armor of the Eagle King

Armor Type: Light

Armor Class: Base armor class is 12 + Dexterity modifier (maximum 2). If the wearer is proficient in light armor, they may add their proficiency bonus to the armor class as well.

Stealth: The armor imposes no penalty on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.

Magical Properties: The armor is imbued with magic that enhances the wearer’s abilities. The following properties can be chosen:

Eagle’s Flight: The wearer gains a flying speed of 30 feet. This speed can only be used to fly in short bursts, and the wearer must land at the end of their turn. The wearer can use this feature a number of times equal to their proficiency bonus, and they regain all uses after a short rest.

Eagle Eyes: The wearer gains darkvision out to a range of 60 feet, or an additional 60 feet if they already have darkvision. Additionally, the wearer has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Eagle’s Grace: The wearer gains advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks and Dexterity saving throws.

Eagle’s Talons: The wearer gains a claw attack that deals 1d6 slashing damage, and has the finesse property. The claw attack can be used as an action, and the wearer can make one attack for each free hand they have. Additionally, the wearer can use the claws to climb at their full movement speed without needing to make an Athletics check.

Eagle’s Screech: As an action, the wearer can unleash a loud screech that startles enemies. All creatures within 30 feet of the wearer that can hear them must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + the wearer’s proficiency bonus + the wearer’s Charisma modifier) or become frightened of the wearer for 1 minute. The wearer can use this feature once per long rest.

Material Cost: Crafting the armor requires the feathers of a giant eagle, which must be harvested during a ritual performed by a magic user. The cost of the feathers is 1000 gp.
